In recent weeks, as the news broke that information on millions of Facebook users was leaked, the world was in chaos.  An academic organization which had obtained user data for research purposes, violated Facebook rules by sharing the data with a third party.  All the media coverage of the incident sent some Facebook users into a panic.  Some went as far as swearing they’d close their account for good this time.

But what really happened was, well, more of the same.  Panic was followed by indignity and then by demands that heads should roll.  Several weeks later, here we are.  Still on Facebook. Still sharing our private lives with the world. And still enjoying those irresistible cat videos we can’t get enough of.

1. Log in to Facebook.com (works best on a computer)
2. Go to Facebook.com/help
3. In the search box, type cambridge
4. From the search results, select “How can I tell if my info was shared with Cambridge Analytica”
